Our Story
Once upon a time, on what seemed like an ordinary Sunday in July, destiny quietly stepped in at a little bar called Stanleys. Dan was busy messaging a friend of Clare’s to come and meet him and his mate. When they arrived, Clare noticed a man at the bar - cap worn backwards, red wine in hand - completely unaware that their lives were going to change forever.

A simple conversation turned into laughter, dancing, and a night that slipped effortlessly into the early hours. Before long, Dan found Clare on Facebook (because even fairytales need a touch of modern magic), and from that moment, their story truly began.
​
What followed were cosy evenings watching Love Island and hysterically laughing at Friday Night Dinner and they slowly realised something special was developing. On 3rd August 2019, Dan asked Clare to be his girlfriend, a moment he insists was influenced by it being a morning after a night out, though Clare knows it came straight from the heart.
​
Over the years, their love grew through every high and every challenge, proving that the strongest fairytales are written with patience, laughter, and unwavering commitment. Along the way, Dan opened his heart fully, taking Alysia under his wing as his own, and together they became a family. Their story grew even brighter with the arrival of Molly, filling their world with even more love, joy, and the will of a truly strong and independent little girl.

With a family built on love and laughter, there was only one chapter left to write…and so, they chose to tie the knot and begin their happily ever after

Clare accompanied Dan to the Lake District for a job he was doing. Clare sat in the car for several hours, and then Dan took her to the Toby Inn pub at Edgeworth.

We both like to spend money, but Dan goes on holiday to Cornwall and comes back with a boat. Clare goes on holiday to Cornwall and comes back with washing.

To keep our celebration intimate, we’re only able to invite the guests named on the invitation, so unfortunately we can’t accommodate additional guests or +1s. We truly appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate with you
What should I wear?
Dress to impress! Just one favor - we kindly ask that white is reserved for the bride
Where can we park
There is an onsite car park, available to guests
Are children welcome?
We absolutely love your little ones; however, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, with the exception of close family. We hope this gives you the opportunity to relax, enjoy the day and evening, and celebrate with us
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Rain or shine, we've got you covered. The venue is fitted out for all weathers, so you can leave the raincoats at home
